IWCP – 5 January 1946 – NEWPORT – Death of Miss Wise. – The death occurred suddenly on Thursday morning of Miss A. M. Wise, of Hunnyhill, while spending Christmas holidays at Lake with her niece, Mrs. F. P. Abraham. A life-long resident, Miss Wide spent her early days at the Dodnor cement mills and was apprenticed as a costumier with the late Mr. Tuffley at St. James’s-square, continuing in business on her own accout. After the death of Mrs. Wife she kept house for her brother, the late Mr. J. R. Wise, T.C., of Hunnyhill. She had been a devoted worker for Newport Parish Church.
