Isle of Wight County Press - 8 February 1947 - NEWPORT - Funeral of Mr. W. Le Count. - The funeral took place on Monday of Mr. William Le Count, aged 77, of 25 Prospect-road, whose death occurred on Thursday week at St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. Le Count, who was a native of Cowes, had lived in Newport for 54 years. He had been employed by Pickfords, Messrs. Wood and Jolliffe, and the Corporation. His wife died a year ago. They had been married for 52 years. The funeral service was held at St. John's Church, conducted by the Rev. E. A. B. Royds (vicar). The mourners were Mr. and Mrs. H. Le Count (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. J. Le Count (son), Mesdames D. Baldwin and D. Allen (daughters), Mr. C. Le Count (grandson), and Mrs. E. Prangnell. Mrs. N. Cooper (grandniece) was represented by her daughter. The interment was at Newport cemetery. Mr. H. W. Parnell made the arrangements.
