IW Mercury - 15 May 1858 - DEATHS - On the 9th inst., at St. Cross, Newport, John Cooper, aged 22 years. -- NEWPORT - THE FIRST INTERMENT AT THE NEW CEMETERY. - The remains of John Cooper and Robert Plumbly, --- were at the same time interred on Tuesday last, 11th inst. The service was performed by the Rev. W. J. Meggison, M.A., curate of Newport.
