IWCP - 10 January 1885 - Newport - DEATH OF A WELL-KNOWN TOWNSMAN. - We regret to record the death, on Thursday evening, of Mr. William Young, a well-known and respected townsman, who will be remembered as having taken an active part as a candidate for the North Ward at the municipal election last November, as also at the previous election. The deceased was for many years a zealous teacher in St. Thomas's Church Sunday School. He was a man of most upright and honourable character, and enjoyed the esteem of all who knew him.
