IWCP – 21 March 1885 – Newport – SUDDEN DEATHS. – ….. On Wednesday an elderly man, named James Howell, living in First Field-place, was seized with sudden illness, and died before the doctor arrived. The deceased had been attended for asthma. The circumstances were reported to the coroner, who did not consider an inquest necessary in either case.
