IWCP - 26 July 1947 - Newport - Visitor's Sudden Death. - Taking an early morning cup of tea to Mr. Edward Albert Simmonds, aged 24, of 146 Haslebury Road, Edmonton, London, who with his parents, was staying at her home on holiday, Mrs. Evelyn Cooke, of Redway, Halberry Lane, found him dead in bed on Thursday. The deceased had suffered severely from asthma. The facts were reported to the Coroner, who ordered a post mortem. This revealed that death was due to natural causes and an inquest was unnecessary.
