IWCP - 23 December 1893 - Newport - DEATH OF A WELL-KNOWN INHABITANT. - By the death of Mr. Peter Starks[sic], which took place somewhat suddenly on Thursday last, from bronchitis, at the age of 66, one of the best known and most respected natives of Newport, has been removed from our midst. The late Mr. Starks claimed to be the oldest dairyman personally working at the business in Newport, and for more than 50 years up to within the last few days he was daily to be seen perambulating the streets in pursuance of his calling.
