IWCP – 12 October 1895 – Mewport – FORESTERS’ FUNERAL. – The funeral of the late Mr. Alfred W. Urry [sic], a clerk in the office of Messrs. J. Eldridge and Sons, who died during the last week at the early age of 18, took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Thursday, the Rev. A. E. Johns (Baptist) impressively officiating. The mourners included Messrs. Robey F. Eldridge, J.P., C.C., and James Eldridge, and their clerical staff, members of the local Foresters, with whom deceased was connected, and members of his class connected with the Baptist Church. Mr. Obed. Jackman read the Foresters’ funeral service at the grave.
