Isle of Wight County Press – 1 March 1913 – NEWPORT – THE FUNERAL – took place on Saturday, at St, Paul’s, Barton, of the late Mr. Isaac Carpenter, of Peartree Dairy. The deceased was the esteemed farm foreman to Mr. F. Templeman Mew, J. P., of Polars, having been in the employ of Mr. Mew and his family for some half a century. The first part of the service was at St. Paul’s Church, and the interment at St. Paul’s Cemetery. The family mourners were Mrs. Carpenter (widow), Mrs. Edwards (daughter), Mr. Edwards (son-in-law), Miss Winnie Edwards (granddaughter), and other grandchildren, Mr. William Carter (brother-in-law), Miss Carter (niece), Mr. T. Gray (Sandown), and Miss Kate Jolliffe.
