DEATHS - WHISTON. - Aug. 20, at the Quarters, Parkhurst Prison, Thomas Whiston, aged 56.
NEWPORT - A PRISON WARDER, - much respected at Parkhurst, Mr. Thomas Whiston by name, died on Saturday from heat apoplexy. The funeral took place on Wednesday at Carisbrooke Cemetery, a large number of colleagues attending and sending floral tokens of respect. Deceased leaves a widow and six children, for whom much sympathy is felt.
