IWCP - 6 May 1899 - Newport - FOUND DEAD IN BED. - Yesterday (Friday) morning, a widow named Emma Flux, aged 75, and living alone at 25, New-cut, was found dead in bed by a neighbour. The deceased had been medically attended of late, though she seemed in her usual health on Thursday evening. An inquest was not considered necessary by the Coroner (Mr. E.F. Blake) to whom the death was reported.
