IWCP - 13 July 1901 - Newport - SUDDEN DEATH OF AN OLD INHABITANT. - The death took place suddenly during Thursday night, at the residence of Mr. Walter Wells, of St. Thomas's-square, of Mrs. Edith Harriett Archer, who had recently attained the ripe age of 80 years. The deceased lady, who years ago was well known in the Island by her connection with the trade of the town, had been bedridden for some years since she met with an accident and fractured her thigh.
