Isle of Wight County Press - 5 April 1902 - NEWPORT - FORESTER'S FUNERAL.- The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Sunday afternoon last of Mr. F. W. Midlane, of 1, Glencoe-cottages, Trafalgar-road. The deceased who was only 24 years of age, was a member of the Court Island Foresters and also of the Sunflower Club, many of whose members attended, in addition Mr. C. J. Dashwood (deceased's employer) and a number of fellow employees of the Carisbrooke Brewery. The Rev. A. H. C. Edlin officiated and the Foresters' funeral service was read at the graveside by the Sub-Chief Ranger (Bro. G. Jones), in the absence of the Chief Ranger.
