Isle of Wight County Press – 21 February 1970 - NEWPORT. - The Late Mr. A. Nobbs. – The funeral service took place at St. Paul’s Church, Barton, on Tuesday week of Mr. Albert Nobbs, aged 84, of 26 Robin Hood Street, who died the previous Thursday. Mr. Nobbs was well-known as a craftsman in wood and a number of Island churches have been beautified by his skills. He leaves a widow who is in hospital. Interment was at St. Paul’s cemetery. The funeral arrangements were made by Mr. A. E. Wyatt.
