IWCP - 29 September 1906 - Newport - THE FUNERAL - took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Wednesday of Mr. J. H. Measures, who had been caretaker of the County Technical Institute and Seely Free Library since its opening. Wreaths were sent by the secretary and clerical staff of the County Education Committee and from the County Pupil Teachers' Centre. The deceased, who had been in the Navy, leaves a widow and family, for whom much sympathy is felt.
