IWCP - 25 September 1909 - Carisbrooke - DEATH OF CAPT. WAKEHAM. - We regret to record the death of Capt. William Tudor Wakeham, the well-known proprietor of the Waverley Hotel, and one of the oldest residents of the village. Capt. Wakeham came to live at Carisbrooke some 20 years ago, after many years in the Merchant Service, and has been the proprietor of the Hotel for a number of years. The deepest sympathy is felt with the members of the family in their bereavement.
