Isle of Wight County Press – 5 February 1910 - CARISBROOKE - FUNERAL. - On Wednesday one of the oldest inhabitants of the village, Mrs. Eliza Locke, mother of Mr. B. Locke, of High-street, was laid to rest, at the age of 76. She died on Saturday. Much sympathy is felt for her relatives, especially her bereaved husband, who is an octogenarian. Mr. and Mrs. Locke celebrated their golden wedding four years ago. By deceased's request there were no flowers at the funeral, the arrangements for which were carried out by Mr. C. Tosdevin.
