IWCP - 17 June 1916 - NEWPORT - DEATH OF MISS A. M. J. H. BROOKS. - The death occurred on Saturday, at Shide, of Miss Anna M. J. Heathcote Brooks, only daughter of the late Rev. H. Brooks and grandaughter of the late Rev. J. Brooks, Archdeacon of Liverpool. The deceased took a leading and generous interest in founding and carrying on the Sunday-school at Clifford-street, and she was highly esteemed. The funeral took place on Tuesday at Carisbrooke Cemetery, Mr. A. C. Fry conducting the service. The mourners were Miss Brooks (niece)), Mr. J. H. Black, Mrs. A. C. Fry, Mrs. Medwin, and Mrs. Buttery. There were several floral tributes. Messrs. H. and F. Damp carried out the funeral arrangements.
