IWCP - 11 November 1916 - GUNVILLE - DEATH OF MR. JAMES COOLEY. - The death occurred on Tuesday at Gunville, after a painful illness of Mr. James Cooley, well known as a market gardener and member of the Carisbrooke Parish Council, who sometime ago came prominently before the public in connection with his action in resisting the procedure of the Rural District Council relative to the structural condition of a small tenement at Gunville which the Council were dealing with under the new housing regulations.
