IWCP – 15 April 1922 – NEWPORT – OBITUARY. – The death occurred at Glenroy, Castle-road, on Sunday, at the age of 80, of Mr. William McBride, who for about 10 years, until his retirement in 1908, was foreman of the building department at the Royal Brewery. Deceased was a pensioner from the Army Pay Corps, in which he served for nearly 50 years. Mr. McBride was a keen sportsman, being especially interested in football until the last. The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Thursday.
