IWCP - 8 March 1924 - NEWPORT - OLD CORPORATION EMPLOYEE'S DEATH. - The death occurred on Wednesday morning, after a short illness from pneumonia, of an old and esteemed employee of the Corporation in the person of Mr. James K. Leal, aged 66, a mason, who had worked some 30 years for the Corporation. For a considerable portion of that period he was town foreman, which office he relinquished some years ago owing to failing health, and was succeeded by his brother. The sudden death of his wife, some months ago, was a serious blow to him in his impaired health. The deceased was a valued member of the local Court of Foresters, and was a past pastor of the Shepherds.
