IWCP - 30 March 1929 - NEWPORT - RAILWAYMAN'S DEATH. - The death took place on Sunday, at the County Hospital after a short illness, of Mr. W. Smith, of 23 Elm-grove, aged 61. He had been in the employ of the Southern Railway Co. for nearly 40 years, latterly as crane driver at the Medina Wharf. The funeral took place at Carisbrooke on Wednesday, the Rev. W. H. Mackinnon officiating. ...
