IWCP - 18 April 1936 - NEWPORT - SUDDEN DEATH. - The death occurred suddenly on Monday of Mrs. Elizabeth Maria Bartlett, of 3 Clarence-road, an elderly widow whose husband died a fortnight previously. She was found dead in the scullery by her son, who lives at 1 Clarence-road. She had not been attended by a doctor, but had been seen by Dr. G. Raymond some days before the fatal seizure. The Deputy-Coroner (F. A. Joyce, Esq.) decided that an inquest was not necessary. The funeral took place on Thursday at Carisbrooke Cemetery, the Rev. T. V. Ruddock officiating.
