IWCP - 19 December 1936 - PARKHURST - EX-PRISON OFFICER'S DEATH. - Mr. Curtis Healey, a former popular member of the staff of H.M. Convict Prison, who retired about eight years ago and had since resided and carried on business as a boot repairer at Forester's Cottage, Horsebridge-hill, passed away on Saturday at the age of 63. He had served at Dartmoor, Camp Hill, and Parkhurst. The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Wednesday the vicar (the Rev. H. Ewbank) officiating, and some of his former colleagues at the prison acted as bearers. The family mourners were the widow, daughter, and two brothers, and the prison officers present were Principal Officer Davies, and Officers Parsons, Way, Davis, Heritage, Ellis, and Murphy. Messrs. O. C. Hamilton and Son made the arrangements.
