IWCP - 13 March 1937 - Newport - DEATH OF MR. W. E. MELHUISH. - The death occurred yesterday (Friday), after a long anf trying illness, of Mr. William Ewart Melhuish, of 39 West-street. Until his health broke down some four years ago, Mr. Melhuish was for over 30 years an able and esteemed member of the compositing staff of the County Press, of which his late father (Mr. S. Melhuish) was the first foreman in the news composing department, a post now occupied by his only surviving son (Mr. Ernest Melhuish). Mr. W. E. Melhuish leaves a wife and one daughter, with whom sincere sympathy is felt, particularly as their bereavement came somewhat unexpectedly.
