IWCP - 6 January 1940 - NEWPORT - The Death occurred on Monday, at the age of 65, of Mr. Fred Alabone Dyer, licensee of the Bugle Tap, Lugley-street. He held the licence for over 30 years, and was widely known, particularly among the Island's agricultural community. His passing followed a short illness. The funeral was on Tuesday, the arrangements being made by Mr. H. W. Parnell.
