IWCP – 15 July 1944 – Newport – Tragic Discovery. – On Thursday morning Mrs. Susan Hayles, a widow, aged 70, was found dead in her kitchen at 25 Whitesmith-road, having apparently died as the result of coal gas poisoning. An inquest will be held today (Saturday).
