Isle of Wight County Press - 25 November 1944 - NEWPORT - The Funeral - of Mr. Charles A. Main, of Cowes, took place on Friday week in Carisbrooke Cemetery, following a service in St. John's Church, the Rev. W. H. Mackinnon officiating. The mourners were Mrs. M. Robinson (daughter), Mr. and Mrs. A. Fryer (brother-in-law and sister), Mr. J. West, Mrs. J. Sword, Mrs. E. McLeod, and Mrs. B. Fryer (nephew and nieces), Mr. A. West, Mr. H. Drudge, and Mr. A. Blow. Major and Mrs. Crickmay (son-in-law and daughter) were unable to be present. Deceased's only son has been a prisoner of war in Germany for over three years. The beautiful floral tributes included a wreath from the Woodworkers' Society.
