IWCP - 20 January 1945 - CARISBROOKE - The Death of Mr. William Kent - of Carisbrooke Mill, took place on Monday at the age of 68. He was for many years in trade in Newport, where he carried on a furniture business at Town Gate. The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Thursday, the Vicar (the Rev. H. Ewbank) officiating. The mourners were Mrs. Kent (widow), William Alfred Kent (son), George Kent (son), Lilian Rose Kent (daughter), and Mrs. Albert Kent (daughter-in-law). Two other sons, Albert, in the Royal Air Force, and Victor, in the Royal Artillery, are serving abroad. The arrangements were made by Messrs. Hamilton.
