Isle of Wight County Press - 9 March 1946 - NEWPORT - Sudden Death. - Soon after getting up on Tuesday, Mr. Joseph Rees, of 67 Trafalgar-road, took his wife an early morning cup of tea, and found that she had died suddenly. The facts were reported to the Coroner, but an inquest was deemed unnecessary. Mrs Rees, who was 58, was well known and much respected in the district, where she lived for many years.
