Isle of Wight County Press - 8 February 1947 - NEWPORT - General Dealer's Death. - The death occurred on Monday, at the age of 81, of Mr. Richard Dove, of Brookfield, Hunnyhill, who traded locally for 55 years as a general dealer and was one of the oldest members of the Newport (Onward) Tent of Rechabites. He leaves a widow and two married daughters, The funeral service takes place this (Saturday) afternoon, at 2 o'clock, at St. Thomas's Church, and the interment will be at Carisbrooke.
