IWCP – 25 December 1958 – CARISBROOKE – DEATH OF MR. G. SHEATH. – The death occurred at Senga, Nodgham Lane on Wednesday, of Mr. George Sheath, aged 79. Mr. Sheath, who resided with his son-in-law and daughter (Mr. and Mrs. C. Groves), was a farm worker who had been employed at Roslyn Farm, Chillerton, and Garston Farm, Gatcombe, as a carter. He was forced to give up work about 20 years ago owing to ill-health. His wife died over 30 years ago. He was a member of the Earl Yarborough Lodge of Oddfellows and leaves three daughters.
