IWCP - 25 July 1953 - Newport - The Late Miss M. Danes. - The death took place yesterday at Whitecroft Hospital, at the age of 83, of Miss Mildred Danes, who resided with her three sisters at 18 St. John's Road. Miss Danes was for many years an able and esteemed member of the clerical staff of Messrs. Upward and Rich, Ltd., and a devoted worker in various activities in the parish of St. John's, and was a former valued helper in association with the late Mrs. John Roach at the former Soldiers' Home at Hunnyhill.
