Isle of Wight County Press - 4 November 1961 - NEWPORT - Sudden Death. - While working at Alverstone Cottages, Whippingham, on Monday morning, Mr. James William Jacobs, aged 61, of 4 Worsley Road, collapsed and died. A post-mortem examination revealed that death was due to natural causes and an inquest was unnecessary. A native of Cowes, Mr. Jacobs was employed by the district council there as a painter and decorator, and had formerly been employed by Messrs. J. S. White and Co., Ltd.
