Isle of Wight County Press – 7 April 1962 – Town and County Notes - The death has occurred at Portsmouth, where he was in practice for many years as a solicitor, of Mr. Charles Bernard Pinnock, a former chairman and director of the Red Funnel Line. Mr. Pinnock, who was 84, was appointed to the board in 1931, becoming deputy chairman in 1935. He succeeded the late Mr. C. J. Sharp, J.P., as chairman in 1847, retiring in 1956, and continued to serve as a director until 1959.
