IWCP - 16 June 1945 - NEWPORT - Imperial Service Medal. - The King has awarded the Imperial Service Medal to Mr. Herbert John Jacobs, ex-postman, of Minden, Medina avenue, Newport, who retired from the Post Office service a few weeks ago. He then received a testimonial in the form of a cheque from his colleagues. The medal will be presented to him next week by the Postmaster at a gathering of the staff.
