Isle of Wight County Press - 29 October 1960 - NEWPORT - Postman's Service Recognised. - Recently Mr. Archibald Henry Dall, of 33 Trafalgar Road, completed 25 years' service as a postman. At a gathering of his colleagues in the sorting office, the head postmaster (Mr. C. J. Clarke) presented him with the Imperial Service Medal. Mr. Dall is continuing to serve on the disestablished staff as a postman-driver. He was in the R.A.S.C. from 1915 to 1926, and started his career in the post office at Cowes in 1935. He has been at Newport since 1936.
