KILLED IN ACTION, ETC. - DRUDGE. - Nov. 16, killed in a shell-hole, in France, Pte. Theodore Algernon Drudge, -th Royal Berkshire Regiment, last surviving son of the late Mr. Harry Drudge, of Ventnor, and of Mrs. Drudge, of Alta Vista, Newport-road, Ventnor, aged 34.
The Island at War – VENTNOR – News has been received of the death in France of Pte. Theodore Drudge, son of the late Mr. Henry Drudge and of Mrs. Drudge, Upper Ventnor. He was in a shell-hole, when an enemy shell exploded, causing several deaths. Pte. Drudge was an esteemed member of the Parish-church choir, and before enlisting worked at Mr. Gustar’s. The Vicar of Ventnor sympathetically referred to his death on Sunday morning.
