IWCP – 4 February 1905 – Newport – AN OLD INHABITANT – of Newport passed away recently in the person of Mr. Benjamin Mew, who (writes a correspondent) will be long remembered by a large circle of friends. He seemed only to live for others; and, having no family cares of his own, was ever ready with help for those around him. After many years visiting of the sick at the hospital ward of the House, he at last, on account of growing age and infirmity, found an acceptable refuge and attendance there himself, and passed away peacefully amid the scenes where so much of his loving service had so long and so devotedly been performed. He was in his 86th year.
