IWCP - 9 April 1904 - Newport - SUDDEN DEATH. - The death occurred rather suddenly on Wednesday evening of William Lockyer, labourer, of 71, South-street, who returned from work in the morning as he was not feeling well. He was taken seriously ill about 8 o'clock, and death took place before Dr. Foster, who was sent for, could reach the house. The Doctor expressed the opinion that death was due to heart disease, and the Deputy Coroner therefore regarded an inquest as unnecessary.
