IWCP - 10 February 1906 - NEWPORT - RETIRED SCHOOLMASTER'S DEATH. - At Carisbrooke-road, there passed away on Sunday, in his 66th year, Mr. Edward Blockley, a retired London schoolmaster. For 21 years he was headmaster of the Kenmont Garden boy's school, Willesden, and great sorrow is felt by the staff, past and present scholars, and parents, by all of whom he was highly esteemed. The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery yesterday (Friday) afternoon, the service being conducted by the Rev. J. W. Damford. A memorial service was held simultaneously at St. Peter's Church, Willesden. Floral tokens were sent by past and present scholars and the staff of the above school. It is proposed to place a permanent memorial to the late Mr. Blockley in his late school.
