IWCP , 29 November 1941 – CARISBROOKE – Death of Mr. G. Chiverton. – The death occurred on Saturday at St. Mary’s Hospital of Mr. George Chiverton, of St. Luke’s, Alvington-road, aged 87. He had served in the 103rd Foot (Royal Bombay Fusiliers) and the Metropolitan Police. The interment was at Carisbrooke Cemetery, and there were a number of wreaths, including those from Percy and Ada; brother-in-law, Lilly and family ; sister-in-law Mabel and Len ; Doris and Charles ; Addie and family, nephews and nieces ; Mabel and Edna ; Mr. Marsh and family ; and Linda and Bill. The mourners were Messrs. P. and A. Lacey (brothers-in-law), Len, Charles, and Bill (nephews), Mrs. R. Chotter (niece), and Mrs. Peddie.
