IWCP - 8 December 1928 - NEWPORT - DEATH OF MR. VIC PARNELL. The death took place at 6 Clifford-street on Saturday, at the early age of 27, of Mr. Harry Victor Parnell, eldest son of Mr. Harry Parnell, of Hearn-street. The deceased was very well known as the stage carpenter and electrician of the Wight Strollers. He leaves a widow and two young children. The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Wednesday, the Rev. E. B. Maynard officiating. The mourners included Messrs. H. Parnell (father), J. Parnell (brother), F. Canning (brother-in-law), J. E. Cole, and Dacombe. The numerous floral tributes included those from the Wight Strollers and the head master, and his former class-mates at the National school.
