IWCP - 12 May 1928 - Newport - DEATH OF MRS. G. H. DUKE. - The death took place at her residence, 90 The Mall, on Tuesday, after only a few days' illness, of Mrs. Duke, widow of Mr. G. H. Duke, who for many years was the tenant of West Standen Farm and a well-known cattle dealer. Mrs. Duke was out as usual a few days before her death, but an attack of bronchitis quickly proved fatal. Her remains were laid to rest by the side of those of her husband at Carisbrooke Cemetery yesterday (Friday) afternoon, the Vicar (Canon C. H. Thompson) officiating.
