Hampshire Advertiser - 2 July 1879 - Newport - THE LATE MR. JOHN LEGG, OF IDLECOMBE. - The remains of Mr. John Legg, farmer, 'one of the olden times,' were buried at the Carisbrooke Cemetery on Monday morning. Eight labourers, in white frocks, employed on the farm, bore the remains to the grave, and mourned for a good master.
