Hampshire Advertiser - 1 July 1871 - Newport - THE LATE PRIVATE CHURCHOUSE OF THE RIFLE VOLUNTEERS.-Our obituary records the demise of Private John Churchouse, of the 2nd Isle of Wight. Yesterday (Friday), the remains were followed to the grave in Newport cemetery by several of the brethren of the Yarborough Lodge of Odd Fellows (Manchester Unity), of which he was a member, and a party of the 2nd Isle of Wight Volunteers in uniform.
