Hampshire Advertiser - 15 February 1873 - NEWPORT - FOUND DEAD. - On Wednesday morning Mrs. Ann Pedder, widow of Mr. Andrew Pedder, grocer, aged 77, was found dead in her bed at her lodging, 81, High-street. At the coroner's inquest, which was held at the Crispin Inn next day, a verdict of “Died by the visitation of God" was returned.
