A prominent Newport businessman who survived his brother Robert by 18 months, (Robert died Xmas eve 1887.) Henry settled in Newport in 1851 after running a business in the West Indies and had a gents mercers shop near Newport Guildhall. In politics he was a liberal and a J.P. latterly lived at Beechwood, Shide. (Brian Greening)
