Isle of Wight County Press - 4 May 1907 - DEATHS - OAKE.-April 28, at Newport House Dairy, George Oake, son of the late Henry Oake, of Newport, aged 80.

NEWPORT - NOT LONG SEPARATED. - The death took place on Sunday of Mr. George Oake, an old and respected inhabitant, at the residence of his brother-in-law, Mr. Hale, at Newport House Dairy. The deceased celebrated his golden wedding last New Year's-day, his marriage being the first which took place in the present St. Thomas's Church. His wife died about three weeks after the golden wedding and about the time of the jubilee celebration of St. Thomas's Church. He was 80 years of age. The funeral took place at Newport Cemetery on Wednesday last.
