IWCP – 18 April 1914 - NEWPORT – OBITUARY. – The death took place on Good Friday, after a lingering illness, at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Charles Smith, Pyle-street, of Mr. Herbert Osborn, aged 31, a commercial traveller, who came to the Island for his health about 18 months ago. The deceased had become well known in the town, and his death is deplored by many friends. The funeral took place on Tuesday, a service in the Parish-church preceding the interment. The Vicar (the Rev. C. H. Thompson) officiated. There were numerous beautiful floral tributes.
